Blastocyst hatching at KIC!!!
A hatching blastocyst is a developing embryo (at around five days after fertilization) that is hatching out of its protective coating, called as the zona pellucida. These group of hatched cells which, once free from its shell, will implant into the lining of a woman’s womb and form the pregnancy.
It is found that spontaneously hatching blastocysts have excellent pregnancy and implantation rates. Hence we at Kiran Infertility Center Bengaluru, select the one or two best-looking ones for transfer.
In some cases we also recommend assisted hatching.
