Once the hysterectomy is done, a woman cannot get pregnant since there uterus will be removed. The uterus is a place where a baby grows when a woman is pregnant. During this surgery the whole uterus is usually removed. In such cases woman cannot become pregnant hence doctors will look at if the ovaries are intact, whether chemotherapy or radiation had any bad affect on ovaries.
If the ovaries are intact and if the eggs are healthy then doctors will take eggs from the female and sperm from the male and will make the embryo. Gestational surrogacy treatment option will be used for a woman in getting pregnant who had hysterectomy.
